- Which devices does the app run on? DWF View is a single app for Mac, iPad and iPhone. One download, one purchase — the Pro upgrade is shared across your devices through your Apple Account.
- What formats are supported?
.dwf,.dwfxand.dxfdrawings, including multi-sheet documents, with a sheet browser to move between pages. AutoCAD or Design Review are not required. - What's included in the free version? Opening and viewing any supported drawing, pan and zoom with touch gestures, trackpad or scroll wheel, the sheet browser, sheet rotation in 90° steps, comments placed directly on a sheet, distance and area measurement with snapping to drawing geometry, and automatic scale detection from the drawing's title block.
- What does the Pro version unlock? Multiple tabs, text search across every sheet, manual measurement calibration, side-by-side sheet comparison, and export — through a single one-time in-app purchase, with no subscription.
- How do I unlock Pro? Through the in-app purchase, available from any screen with a locked feature.
- How does measurement scale work? The scale is detected automatically from the drawing's own title block (for example "1:100"). When a drawing has no title block, or the detected scale is wrong, you can calibrate manually against any known dimension.
- How do I open a drawing? From Finder or the Files app, from Mail, or from any app that can share a document — or from within DWF View itself.
- Does the app work offline? Yes. All conversion, rendering, measuring and exporting happens on your device; an internet connection is only needed to process the Pro purchase.
- How do I restore my Pro purchase? Use the restore option on any screen showing a locked feature. The purchase is tied to your Apple Account and works on all your devices.

DWF View is designed to not collect personal data.
- The drawings you open are processed entirely on your device — they are never sent to any server.
- The app does not use analytics, tracking, or advertising.
- The only communication with external servers is handled directly by Apple via StoreKit, to process the Pro purchase — DWF View has no access to any payment data, which is managed exclusively by Apple under its own privacy policy.
- No user accounts are created and no data is stored on any servers we operate.
